His last will of October 4, 1834

"Being sick and weak I bequeath unty my wife Hannah my log house, now occupied as a gunsmith shop and lot situated in the Boro of Lewisberry adjoining the property of Chas. A. Barnitz on West Front Street. On the north along the said street as far as my Smithshop, then paralleled south with the Barnitz lot until it strikes the line of Wm. Nickols. The house and lot and appurtenances thereunto belonging to me my said wife shall keep during her life provided she remains a widow, said property to be kept in repair for a family to reside in at the expence of my estate, and at her decease, or if she refuses to reside in said house or accept the same."
